On behalf of our client, a leading Swiss industrial company, we are looking for a pragmatically acting and innovative thinking
Area HR Manager
In a nutshell, you provide full support in all HR operations to local country organizations across Eastern Europe and parts of Africa. By doing so, you effectively collaborate with your superior, the Head HR EMEA, as well as the relevant corporate and regional partners in your assigned global area. In this vital role, you have multiple functions rolled into one, acting as a competent, versatile and agile coach, advisor, trouble shooter and change agent for the country executives. Liaising between the Headquarters and the management on site, you develop and introduce tools and core procedures, enhance group objectives and drive corporate projects within your region. Moreover, you provide leadership in a wide range of HR related operational and administrative services to the subsidiaries – always with an open eye and ear on the specific local business needs. In line with the company’s HR policies, your main concerns will be the acquisition of new team members, employee engagement, succession planning and talent management. Specifically, this means filling management positions, assisting onboarding processes and international assignments as well as performance evaluations and compensation reviews. Your stakeholder management also includes guidance in critical personnel matters and change issues. Last but not least, you cover various global projects at EMEA level.
To succeed in this challenging position, you are a straightforward self-starter with a significant HR track record in international, fast-paced corporate environments. Previous experience in a management function is a must, whereas responsibility for remote staff is desirable. A comprehensive knowhow of HR principles, practices and procedures helps you to implement complex HR assignments. If you possess a strategic mindset with a strong focus on operational execution and a hands-on, action-oriented approach, you match the lean company culture of our client. The right personal fit requires a resilient, easygoing personality with a strong business acumen and flexibility to adapt to ongoing change in a dynamic and consistently growing business. Solid analytical skills and organizational agility are some of your key strengths. Your seniority and interpersonal talent enable you to gain trust and credibility across the company and to drive collaboration, commitment and productivity on all levels. In order to meet the business needs, you are committed to efficiency as well as to high quality standards. The global nature of this profile is directed to applicants with an excellent command of German and English, willing to travel approximately 30% of their time and enjoying a high degree of autonomy.
The role is fascinating for a number of reasons. Your potential new employer well deserves to rank as an employer of choice. It combines Swissness with rapid global expansion and offers you an opportunity to personally witness and actively contribute to its further growth. In your responsibility for a broad community, you deal with the company’s most valuable assets – its human capital. You can count on multi-facetted tasks, offering you a kaleidoscope of topics in diverse country organizations of varying size, agendas and markets with a multitude of cultural insights. A supportive management and easy-going colleagues in a healthy working environment with a sound economic basis is the icing on the cake of this position.
